Emma - Editing

When we completed filming our opening sequence we used editing to make our film more interesting and appropriate to our genre of horror/thriller.
Our film doesn't include any conversation and we realised it wouldn’t be clear what was happening, therefore we added a narration. We thought this would be effective as it subtly tells the audience what is going on that the antagonist has chosen a random victim and is following her. We interestingly made the narration from the villain’s perspective as this contrasts other horror/thriller films as generally the narration is of the protagonist. Our narration made the opening sequence much more gripping and interesting as the audience could follow what was happening and it makes them want to know what will happen but also see from the antagonists’ point of view and see what’s going through his head.

  1. Good; well done for acting upon your audience feedback so promptly.
