Liam's Editing

Editing is a key part to a film it can make a average film into a movie blockbusters. I did a lot of research on how to edit on Adobe. TV, I used the help manual and also video clips on youtube showing how to use different types of editing and effects on your movie. This research helped as it improved my knowledge on adobe and on editing, I then began to play around on adobe with the knowledge I already had and get used to what there was to use and try new things and after a few hours practising I moved onto editing our film.

One effect of editing I used on my film was a fade to black. A fade to black between a change in two different sections of the films added a sinister effect to it and gave it a continous effect with no stop starts or jumps.

Also with my film i used lighting to add an effect and create the characters' personalities. I made the film dark in stages where the antagonist was to show he is a dark, mean character and is one to keep away from. Where we cross cut between the antagonist and the girl, i made the scenes with the girl alone in lighter to show her innocence and how vunerable she is. When the antagonist, this creepy old man, walks through the carrages of the train i made the darkness follow him to show this has meaning and he is up to no good.
